Motorcyclist, 64, Dead Following SUV Collision on Hwy. 6 in Ancaster
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal motorcycle collision on Highway 6 South in Ancaster — a community in Hamilton — on June 4, 2026.

What Happened?
- Emergency crews responded to reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV at the intersection of Highway 6 South and and Book Road East shortly after 6pm ET on June 4.
- According to OPP, the rider of the motorcycle — a 64-year-old man — was rushed to local hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead.
- Highway 6 South was temporarily closed between Highway 403 and Airport Road West. Book Road East was temporarily closed from Fiddlers Green Road to Southcote Road.
Investigation Updates
The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
