6 people, including 2 children, are hurt after a Mazda SUV and a Toyota sedan collided west of Waterloo on May 9, 2026.

What Happened?
- The incident took place at the intersection of Moser Young Road and Hessen Strasse Road before 4pm ET on May 9 — leaving a hydro pole significantly damaged.
- 5 occupants of the Mazda SUV, which included the children, were transported by ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries.
- The driver of the Toyota sedan was also taken to a local hospital. Their injuries aren’t considered life-threatening.
Investigation Updates
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
