2 Hospitalized After Hwy. 407 Crash Near Markham-Richmond Hill Border
2 people have been taken to hospital following a collision on Highway 407 near the Markham-Richmond Hill border on May 6, 2026.

What Happened?
- The incident took place in the eastbound lanes of the highway at Bayview Avenue around 6:15pm ET on May 6.
- An aerial photo of the scene shows at least 2 vehicles involved in the crash — a silver vehicle and a dark-coloured vehicle near the ditch.
- It’s unclear if the injured individuals were drivers or passengers. 1 person suffered serious injuries, while the other sustained minor injuries.
Investigation Updates
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. There’s no word on charges at this time.
