7-Eleven Closing Hundreds of North American Stores, Canadian Staff Affected

A

Is 7-Eleven Closing Stores in Canada?

Yes. 7-Eleven is planning to shutter approximately 645 stores across North America in 2026, which is expected to affect hundreds of Canadian jobs.

However, the convenience giant is looking to open 205 locations during the closures — cushioning the blow somewhat — as it shifts to “wholesale fuel stores.”

It remains unclear which stores will close their doors. Currently, the company has more than 13,000 North American locations.
