What Happened?
- Emergency crews responded to reports of a crash involving 2 cars and a tractor-trailer on the highway east of Rockton before 5:30am ET on March 31.
- According to OPP, one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Another individual was taken to hospital — their injuries aren’t considered life-threatening.
- Highway 8 was temporarily closed between Orkeny Road and Highway 52.
Investigation Updates
The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. Officials are examining road conditions, weather conditions, and driver condition.
