Toddler Dead After Multi-Vehicle Hwy. 3 Crash at Kingsville-Leamington Border

A 15-month-old toddler is dead following a 3-vehicle collision on Highway 3 at the Kingsville-Leamington border — southeast of Windsor — on March 9, 2026.

What Happened?

  • The incident took place at the intersection of Highway 3 and County Road 31 around 10:10am ET on March 9.
  • According to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the toddler was a passenger in an SUV. The driver of the SUV, a 33-year-old woman, has been rushed to hospital in serious condition.
  • 3 other individuals were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
