Pickup Truck Driver, 51, Dead After Hwy. 401 Collision Northeast of Kingston
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal collision on Highway 401 near Gananoque — a community northeast of Kingston — on Feb. 25, 2026.

What Happened?
- The incident took place in the eastbound lanes of the highway near Deer Ridge Drive around 11:30pm ET on Feb. 25.
- According to OPP, a T-bone collision occurred between a pickup truck and a transport truck.
- The driver of the pickup truck, a 51-year-old man from Gatineau, Que., was pronounced dead in hospital.
- No injuries were reported for the driver of the transport truck.
Investigation Updates
The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
