Man, 27, Dead Following Hwy. 8 Collision Southeast of Cambridge
A 27-year-old man is dead after a 2-vehicle collision on Highway 8 southeast of Cambridge on Feb. 22, 2026.

What Happened?
- The incident took place on the highway near Lynden Road — between Sheffield and Rockton — around 5:40pm ET on Feb. 22.
- According to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the 27-year-old man, a Cambridge resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
- A 69-year-old man from Hamilton was taken to hospital. His condition isn’t considered life-threatening.
- Officials didn’t specify if the men were the drivers involved in the crash.
Investigation Updates
The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
