Mariel Gerges is an Ontario employment lawyer and Associate with Samfiru Tumarkin LLP’s Labour and Employment practice group.
Working through the firm’s employment law services in Toronto and Ottawa, she regularly assists employees and employers across the province in all aspects of labour and employment law, including:
- Wrongful dismissals
- Constructive dismissal

- Severance agreements and negotiations

Outside of the office, Mariel enjoys gardening, challenging her culinary skills, and spending time outdoors — especially hiking and skiing.
Education
Mariel earned her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Newcastle University, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England. She was awarded the International LL.B Scholarship by Newcastle University — a competitive three-year scholarship granted based on the merit of her application to the University.
Mariel obtained her Master of Laws (LL.M) Legal Practice Course (Solicitor) at BPP University, Manchester, England, where she achieved a Distinction.
