Treating Cancer “Before 3pm” Capable of Improving Survival, 2026 Study Finds

When is the best time to administer cancer therapy? A new study claims that “before 3pm” is capable of improving a patient’s survival.

Francis Lévi at Paris-Saclay University in France and his colleagues found — after observing individuals with lung cancer for 29 months — those treated before 3pm survived for an average of 28 months, an increase of 11 months from patients treated later in the day.

“The effects are absolutely huge,” Lévi told New Scientist.

“It’s a nearly doubling in survival time.”

While this study gets the ball rolling on treatment efficacy, he added that more specific times need to be explored, such as 11am.
