What Happened?

• York police responded to reports of a 2-vehicle crash at Major Mackenzie Drive and Leslie Street around 4:10pm ET on Dec. 17.
• According to officials, 4 people sustained injuries — a passenger and 3 pedestrians standing on the sidewalk.
• One of the pedestrians succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another was rushed to a trauma centre in critical condition.
• The 2 remaining individuals were taken to hospital. Their injuries aren’t considered life-threatening
• No injuries were reported for the drivers of the vehicles. Both motorists remained at the scene.
