Motorcyclist, Passenger Seriously Hurt After BMW Collision in Vaughan

A motorcyclist and their passenger are recovering in hospital following a collision with a black BMW 2 series coupe in Vaughan on Sept. 12, 2025.

What Happened?

• York police said in a news release that the incident took place on Dufferin Street, north of Major Mackenzie Drive, around 4pm ET on Sept. 12.
• “It was learned that a red Honda CBR motorcycle and black BMW 2 series coupe were travelling northbound on Dufferin Street when the motorcycle struck the rear of the BMW. The rider and passenger were thrown from the motorcycle, resulting in serious injuries to both,” the release reads.
• No injuries were reported for the driver of the BMW.

Investigation Updates

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
