Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fiery 3-vehicle crash on Highway 17 near Marathon Airport — east of Thunder Bay — on Aug. 21, 2025.

What Happened?
- The incident took place on the highway between Old Heron Bay Road and Peninsula Road before 8:30am ET on Aug. 21.
- No injuries have been reported at this time.
- Highway 17 remains closed in both directions between Terrace Bay and Marathon.
