Rod Nagel is an experienced B.C. employment lawyer and Associate with Samfiru Tumarkin LLP’s Labour and Employment Law practice group, serving clients across the province.
Working through the firm’s Vancouver office, Rod provides support on a broad range of employment matters, including:
- Wrongful dismissals
- Constructive dismissals
- Dismissals for cause and without cause
- Severance pay negotiations and packages
- Employee misclassification
- Workplace harassment and sexual harassment
- Discrimination at work
- Human rights issues
- Employment contract review and drafting

Prior to joining Samfiru Tumarkin LLP, Rod worked for a well-known Surrey firm for 15 years — successfully representing his clients on various matters, including personal injury litigation, at all levels of court.
In addition to his love of theatre, he enjoys playing guitar in his spare time and doing a variety of outdoor activities, including running, cycling, skiing, and hiking.
