PepsiCo Planning to Trim North American Workforce, Product Offerings
What’s Happening at PepsiCo?
PepsiCo is planning to cut jobs in North America and scale back its overall number of products as part of a series of “operational changes.”
In a statement obtained by Bloomberg, CEO Ramon Laguarta said the restructuring will “accelerate organic revenue growth, deliver record productivity savings, and improve core operating margin — starting in 2026.”
Activist investor Elliott Investment Management approves and supports the proposed operational changes at the food and beverage giant.
Impact on Canadian Staff
It remains unclear how many jobs in Canada could be affected by the restructuring at PepsiCo.
According to LinkedIn, the company currently employs more than 4,000 Canadians.
