Did INVISTA Cut Jobs in 2026?

Yes — INVISTA has eliminated 68 roles at its facility in Kingston, Ont.

In an email to CBC News on June 8, 2026, spokesperson Greg Lemon said the workforce reduction is part of a “broader business transformation.”

“These are not decisions we make lightly, and we recognize the real impact they have on employees and their families,” the email reads.

“We are committed to supporting those affected through this process and deeply value the ongoing partnership with the local community.”
