The following is a comprehensive list of the 11 statutory holidays in British Columbia, and when they take place in 2023. These are dates where employees are entitled to a day off work with stat holiday pay in B.C.

Optional 2023 B.C. Stat Holidays

In addition to the official statutory holidays, there are a few days in 2023 that are recognized as “optional” holidays in B.C. for provincially regulated employees. These days are not mandated as paid days off, but employers may choose to observe them:

  • Boxing Day: December 26, Tuesday
