Stephen Gillman is an associate with Samfiru Tumarkin’s Labour and Employment practice group. With a broad and diverse background in labour and employment, Stephen speaks the language of workplace law and has a first-hand understanding of the issues facing his clients.
In his practice, Stephen assists both employees and employers in navigating complex workplace issues by providing straightforward, common sense advice. He is a passionate advocate of his clients who strives to resolve their matters in the most efficient manner possible. He has successfully appeared before the Superior Court of Ontario, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Social Benefits Tribunal, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and before Boards of Labour Arbitration.
Stephen articled with one of the top labour and employment firms in Canada, and after his call to the bar, joined Samfiru Tumarkin LLP as an associate. He completed his law degree at the University of Windsor where he focused his studies on labour and employment law. While studying at the University of Windsor he represented clients in disability and employment matters as a member of Legal Assistance of Windsor.
When not practicing law, Stephen is a passionate participant in community building projects and has a long history of working with adults who have developmental delays.
